Hi Community,

As the year comes to an end, my to-do list keeps growing! We've only started using Personio this year and are now facing a little challenge. Last year, we gave our hardworking helpers at the North Pole a Christmas gift to show appreciation for their amazing work. This year, we've decided to go a step further and pay a one-time Christmas bonus.

Now, my question: 

How do I set up a one-time Christmas bonus of e.g. 1000€ in Personio? What options do I have?

If I were setting up a Christmas bonus, I would create a one-time compensation amount in the Salary tab, for December. Depending on access settings, I’d take in to account the fact that employees might be able to see their salaries and recurring/one time compensation...which might spoil the surprise!

Depending on the number of employees that are receiving the bonus, you could either manually add the one time compensation or do it via an upload. as ​@HRJoy suggested, it may ruin the surprise, so I would prep an upload beforehand and upload it on the day the bonuses are paid to keep the surprise factor.

From what I am getting is that I can either create a one time compensation or import the data? Besides the one time compensation solution - is there also another option to pay the bonus payments in Personio? 

I always like to double check everything so I am also curious if there is a way to check if I successfully paid all the Christmas payments to all employees?
