🏳️‍🌈 Kick off Pride Month with this insightful post from a fellow community member!

Good morning and happy Thursday, everyone! 

It’s not exactly summer weather right now in the UK (at least, not by the standards of a Florida boy like myself!) but I hope everyone is having a great week!

Pride Month is here and, as always, it serves as a chance to reflect on how we can take part in LGBT allyship in our respective workplaces. David, aka ​@Naturally Mindful , was kind enough to post recently about exactly this topic, even adding his own personal story, and why allyship is so crucial (perhaps now more than ever) in the workplace. As David puts it:
 

“Following improvements in equality legislation of the early 2000s, it would be easy to think that there is no longer a need to even address the LGBT employee experience. However, there is evidence of increased hate crime  and decreased levels of tolerance of a diversity of expression in what it means to live a non-heteronormative life.”
