Hello dear Community, 

I’m trying to build a report that shows the number of new hires for a custom period. 

I would also love to have insights on their Onboarding, with details on the number of steps completed, if it was on time, ect … 

Currently, I’m using the Headcount in the beta report and do a subtraction, but that doesn’t allow me to have the name of the new comers or any details. 

I’ve thought about the Hire Date attribute, but I can’t use it in any charts of the BETA report.  

I can’t find any options in the reports to help me do that. 
Do you have any idea on how I could do that ?

Here is a possible workaround to get the number of Hires in a Custom report (with extra Attributes you might need, like Name) 😊

You could generate a custom report by following these steps:

  1. Go to Reports > Custom Reports and click on "Create custom report".
  2. Add a Name for your report and optionally a Description.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the Type of Report “Timeframe” and add the dates for the custom period you want to export, for example, 01/10/2019 → 31/10/2019.
  5. Choose the Table columns as desire and add Hire Attribute.

Here is the key for this report 🔑 

  1. Under Set up conditions, choose the condition “Hire date” - “greater or equal” to the first day of the period you want to export, Let’s say you want the hires for example, “Hire date” - “greater or equal" - "01/10/2019”. And a second condition “Hire date” - “Less or equal” - 31/10/2019. This is to make sure you are setting just a period of time and does not show future or past Hires.

     2. Click “Create report”.

 

In regards to the Onboarding report, I am afraid by the time being we don’t have this information within the Reporting section. However you might find useful to create a Company export.You will be getting a file (employee_onboarding_steps), which tells you per employee the completion status of each onboarding step. (the step ID can be founded within the step on the URL)

I would encourage you to send this idea/feedback/suggestion through the new ‘Give feedback’ feature directly in your Personio account. Submissions will be forwarded directly to the relevant product teams. You can find more information in this community post.

Thank you for your reply and your help !  

Your workaround is great to have a table and some details about the new employees, I’ll definitely use it.

I was looking to replicate it in the BETA report, to have a more visualised report for our stakeholders. I hope this option will be soon available in these reports as well !
