Do you sometimes wonder: Who are the people behind the profile pictures, who look after the forum and work behind the scenes? Over the past few weeks, the Community Team have introduced themselves. After Melissa, Mohamed, Daniele, Lina, Selina and Lena, I'm bringing up the rear today.

You might already know me from the Community – but if not, here's a little introduction! 

I’m Lucie – the person on the right in the picture, which was taken at a workshop with our Community STARS. As the Operations Manager, a lot of my community work takes place behind the scenes. I deal with spam, compliance with our Community Guidelines and internal processes such as coordinating with other teams in Personio.

Outside of work, I tend to be quite active: yoga, hiking, weight training, rowing and swimming. Sometimes also jogging, but only if I can’t help it. At home, I like to bake (German cakes and bread — I know — what a stereotype) and am constantly working to expand my small terrace vegetable garden. I’m German but have been living abroad for 10 years now, and in Ireland for the last six.

A few facts about me:

• Personio Age: I joined at the beginning of the year.
• My role: As Operations Manager, I often work behind the scenes, optimizing processes and coordinating with other teams at Personio.
• Location: Mostly in Dublin, but also enjoy visiting home in Germany or traveling.
• Last book I read: The autobiographies of Maya Angelou, I'm currently reading the sixth and final book. In particular, “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” (1969) is of course an absolute classic – highly recommend.
• Favorite podcasts: Drinnies (a German Podcast), Antropocene Reviewed and my own: Success and Other Lies
• Last trip: A little trip to mainland Europe through Spain, Italy and Germany.
• Dog or cat: Ferrets, to be honest. But I also like dogs and cats.
• I don't leave the house without…: An umbrella — unfortunately, needed more often than I'd like in Ireland.
